Chinese education minister visits FISU headquarters in Lausanne
The institutional meeting addresses university sport cooperation and student wellbeing.

Chinese education minister Huai Jinpeng visited FISU headquarters in Lausanne on 23 March with representatives of the diplomatic mission and the Federation of Chinese University and School Sports. FISU president Leonz Eder and senior officials welcomed the delegation.
Discussions covered cooperation between sport and education, student wellbeing and the federation’s developing strategy. Both sides highlighted the Healthy Campus programme, which integrates physical activity, mental health and healthier lifestyles within university communities.
The meeting also reviewed forthcoming joint events, including 2026 university championships in cycling in Zhangjiakou and mind sports in Liaocheng. After touring the Synathlon building on the University of Lausanne campus, the minister supported deeper cooperation to increase participation and strengthen student health through university sport.
