Chris Truswell appointed LA28 squash sport manager
The former PSA player will lead preparations for squash’s first Olympic appearance.

Chris Truswell was appointed squash sport manager for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games organisation. The former professional player, serving as Squash Canada’s director of events, will lead planning and operational delivery for the sport’s Olympic debut in Los Angeles.
His responsibilities include coordination with international and national governing bodies, venue teams and the wider Games management structure. Truswell previously reached world No. 116 on the PSA Tour before moving into administration with England Squash and PSA.
He directed the squash tournament at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, then worked with Squash Ontario and Squash Canada. World Squash welcomed the appointment as preparations continued for the sport’s first Olympic competition in 2028.
