Close contests open women’s Conference Cup second round
Alba Iulia, Cosenza and Bochum won by one goal as Mladost prevailed on penalties.

The women’s Conference Cup second round opened with five matches, including three decided by one goal and another by penalties. Alba Iulia beat Bogliasco 8–7 after recovering from an early 2–0 deficit, with Dorofea Virtosu scoring a crucial late goal.
Cosenza edged Panionios 17–16 following an opening quarter that produced fourteen goals. Iva Rozic scored after a timeout with thirty-nine seconds left, giving the Italian club its winning margin in an unusually high-scoring contest.
In Novi Sad, Bochum defeated Vojvodina 16–15 and Tenerife overcame Chania 16–13. Mladost drew 12–12 with Brizz Nuoto in Istanbul before winning the shootout, after Aurora Stipanov’s equaliser three seconds from the end of regulation.
