The draw closed a two-match preparation series.
Source publication date:
Colombia’s under-17 men drew 0-0 with Venezuela at the federation’s Barranquilla training centre. The Sunday match completed a two-game friendly series used by coach Freddy Hurtado to assess the team’s preparation ahead of its next international competition.
Colombia created opportunities and controlled portions of the game but could not convert its chances. Venezuela also competed strongly, leaving the sides level after ninety minutes and giving the Colombian staff another opportunity to review tactical variations and collective defensive organisation.
Freyder Celis started in goal for Colombia, with Éider Carrillo captaining the side from midfield. The lineup also included Anderson Murillo, Santiago Vallecilla, John Maturana, Carlos Rodríguez, Julio Sinisterra and Matías Caicedo as Hurtado evaluated alternatives across the team.
