Continental volleyball season opens first LA28 qualification route
Championship standings will also allocate 2027 World Cup places.

The FIVB set out how the 2026 continental championship season would allocate the first Olympic quota places for Los Angeles 2028. One team from each of the five confederations would qualify in both the men’s and women’s competitions.
The three highest eligible teams in each continental championship would also qualify for the 2027 World Cup, accounting for 15 of 32 places per tournament. World Ranking points would contribute towards remaining qualification opportunities.
In NORCECA, the USA already held a host quota for LA28. After the main championships, the four highest finishers excluding the USA were to contest a separate semifinal and final phase for the continental Olympic place.
