A 3:33.09 run earned third place behind Isaac Nader and Federico Riva.
Source publication date:
Andrew Coscoran lowered his Irish indoor 1500m record to 3:33.09 at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais in Liévin. The Star of the Sea athlete finished third behind winner Isaac Nader, who ran 3:32.44, and Italy’s Federico Riva.
The time improved Coscoran’s 3:33.40 intermediate split from the previous year’s Millrose Games mile. Athletics Ireland reported that the record remained subject to ratification and that Coscoran was entered for both domestic indoor middle-distance championships.
Sharlene Mawdsley opened her season with third place in the women’s 400m in 51.85, inside the federation’s World Indoor B standard. Luke McCann continued his return from injury with sixth place in the B 1500m, recording a season’s best of 3:39.89.
