Cotton and Davis named NBL MVP finalists
The league also released finalists for coaching, defensive, improvement and next-generation awards.

Bryce Cotton and Kendric Davis were named finalists for the NBL’s Andrew Gaze MVP award, setting up a second successive contest between the leading guards. Cotton sought his sixth honour after moving to Adelaide, while Davis pursued his first with Sydney.
The league also announced category finalists ahead of the awards evening. Brian Goorjian and Josh King contested coach honours, while Flynn Cameron, Makuach Maluach and Sam Mennenga were listed for Most Improved Player. Mennenga also joined Karim Lopez and Owen Foxwell in the next-generation category.
Angus Glover, Kouat Noi and Majok Deng were sixth-man finalists. Kristian Doolittle, John Brown III and Will Magnay contested defensive player honours. The ceremony was scheduled for 23 February at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium.
