Cotton scores 42 in Adelaide comeback against New Zealand
A 33-point final quarter secured a 92–89 victory and ended the Breakers’ finals hopes.

Bryce Cotton scored 42 points as Adelaide recovered from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat New Zealand 92–89. The 36ers produced 33 points in the final period, returning to first place at 23–9 in their last regular-season home game.
Cotton played the entire match and made seven three-pointers, adding four rebounds and four assists. DJ Vasiljevic contributed 19, while Zylan Cheatham recorded 12 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Adelaide’s late momentum overturned a game that New Zealand had controlled for long stretches.
Parker Jackson-Cartwright led the Breakers with 25 points and seven assists. The defeat confirmed that New Zealand could not catch sixth-placed Tasmania. The teams still had another meeting scheduled in the inaugural Ignite Cup final on the Gold Coast.
