Cotton wins sixth NBL MVP by two votes
Adelaide’s leading scorer and playmaker edged Sydney’s Davis 96–94 in the ballot.
Source publication date:
Bryce Cotton won his sixth Andrew Gaze MVP Trophy after receiving 96 votes, two more than Sydney’s Kendric Davis. The Adelaide guard became the second-most decorated winner of the award, behind Andrew Gaze’s seven, and secured his third consecutive MVP.
In his first season after moving from Perth, Cotton helped Adelaide finish second with a 23–10 record. Across 32 games, he led the league with 25.7 points and 7.6 assists per game, while also averaging 3.6 rebounds and a career-best 1.8 steals.
Cotton’s earlier MVP wins came in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025. The narrow ballot recognised his production during a strong 36ers campaign as Adelaide prepared for a playoff series following the international window and play-in tournament.
