Cremona and Richters seek another title in Madeira
The January Melbourne winners lead the men’s draw at the tour’s first Portuguese event of 2026.

Simone Cremona and Sten Richters led the men’s draw for FIP Bronze Madeira, the CUPRA FIP Tour’s first Portuguese stop of 2026. The Italian-Dutch partnership arrived after winning the Melbourne Padel Open in January and was pursuing a fourth international trophy together.
The competition was scheduled at Clube Quinta do Padel. Alberto Garcia and Nicolas Zurita followed among the seeded men, with both players bringing previous circuit successes into the event’s early-season field on the Portuguese island.
Lucia Peralta and Ariadna Cañellas were leading women’s contenders. Carla Fernandez and Nerea Guerra also entered after already collecting two titles during the year, at the Bronze Melbourne event and the Silver Australian Padel Open.
