Crippa and Yavi win Alà dei Sardi cross-country races
The Italian men’s winner returned from altitude training with a clear victory.

Yeman Crippa won the ten-kilometre cross-country race at Alà dei Sardi in 31:42 after returning from altitude training in Kenya. He broke clear after four kilometres on a course affected by pre-race rain, finishing forty-six seconds ahead of Sebastiano Parolini.
Amin Jhinaoui completed the men’s podium in 32:41, while world marathon bronze medallist Iliass Aouani placed fourth in 32:51 during preparations for Tokyo. Osama Zoghlami finished fifth in the Sardinian race.
Olympic steeplechase champion Winfred Yavi won the women’s six-kilometre event in 20:37. Francine Niyomukunzi finished second and Emily Collinge third, with junior Licia Ferrari leading the Italian women in fourth place. FIDAL’s report brought together the two senior races.
