Croatia recover early deficit to beat Colombia

Croatia defeated Colombia 2-1 in the opening match of the Colombian men’s March friendly programme. The meeting took place at Camping World Stadium, where Néstor Lorenzo’s side gained an early lead through Jhon Arias before their opponents reversed the result.
Arias struck in the second minute to give Colombia a rapid breakthrough. Croatia subsequently equalised and added another goal to finish ahead. The Colombian federation’s report confirmed the final score and the team’s immediate plan to continue its American tour.
Colombia were due to travel directly to Washington to prepare for France on 29 March. James Rodríguez captained the starting side against Croatia, with Camilo Vargas in goal and Luis Díaz and Luis Suárez included alongside Arias in the announced lineup.
