Crouin climbs to career-high world No. 5
The Frenchman’s Texas title drove a ranking rise as Elias and Stefanoni also improved.

Victor Crouin reached a career-high world No. 5 in the PSA rankings after winning the Texas Open. The Frenchman moved up two positions, joining Gregory Gaultier and Thierry Lincou as the only French men to have reached the leading five places.
Texas runner-up Diego Elias returned to No. 3, while Mohamed Abouelghar and Dimitri Steinmann moved to Nos. 15 and 17. Melvil Scianimanico’s semifinal run brought a twelve-place gain to No. 36, also the best position of his career.
Marina Stefanoni reached a new high of No. 19 after her first Gold-level semifinal. Nour ElSherbini’s Texas trophy strengthened her position ahead of Amina Orfi and narrowed the gap to women’s leader Hania El Hammamy.
