Crouin wins Canadian Men’s Open for his twenty-third PSA title
The French world number five beat Yahya Elnawasany in three games.
Source publication date:
Victor Crouin won his first Canadian Men’s Open championship by defeating Yahya Elnawasany 11–3, 11–6, 11–1. The forty-six-minute Calgary final delivered his twenty-third PSA title, adding another North American trophy shortly after he won the Texas Open.
The French world number five had finished runner-up at this tournament in 2023 and reached its semifinals in 2025. He lost only one game on the way to the 2026 final and maintained that strong form against the seventh-seeded Egyptian.
Elnawasany had eliminated top seed Marwan ElShorbagy and third seed Leonel Cardenas during a route lasting 234 minutes before the final. Crouin stopped that sequence of upsets, building a four-point advantage in the second and conceding only one point in the closing game.
