Dalgleish and Leggett claim Scottish singles championships
Colin Dalgleish added men’s doubles gold while three partnerships topped the doubles programme.

Colin Dalgleish and Faye Leggett won the singles titles at Scotland’s national championships. Dalgleish defeated Gavin Rumgay in the men’s final, having advanced past Calum Morrison in the semifinals. Rumgay reached the decider with a victory over Martin Johnson.
Leggett overcame Rebecca Plaistow to win women’s singles. Kiishi Adekola and Paula Callaghan shared bronze medals, completing the women’s podium. Johnson and Morrison occupied the men’s bronze positions in the results issued by the European Table Tennis Union.
Dalgleish joined Morrison to claim men’s doubles, finishing ahead of Danny Bajwa and Johnson. Plaistow partnered Lara Stirling for women’s doubles gold despite her singles-final defeat. Morrison also won mixed doubles alongside Alisa Khalid, giving him two doubles titles during the national championships.
