Dalmasso and Bormolini secure Italian parallel slalom globes

Dalmasso won the Winterberg final while Lee led the men’s race podium.

Lucia Dalmasso won the final women’s parallel slalom in Winterberg and claimed her first Crystal Globe, overturning a fifteen-point deficit entering the race. She finished the discipline standings on 285 points, ahead of Tsubaki Miki’s 226, after beating Sabine Payer in the final.

Michelle Dekker took third on the day by defeating retiring Julie Zogg in the small final. Maurizio Bormolini secured the men’s slalom title through qualification, completing his first sweep of all three alpine snowboard globes despite being eliminated in the quarterfinals of the race.

Sangho Lee won the men’s event, with Christoph Karner earning his first World Cup podium in second and Alexander Payer third. Bormolini’s season slalom total reached 277 points, comfortably ahead of Gabriel Messner.
