Sydney named Kendric Davis its club MVP for the NBL season at the annual Hoops Capital awards evening. The guard was averaging 23.8 points, 6.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds as the Kings recognised players and staff at Waterview in Bicentennial Park.

Bul Kuol won defensive player honours, Matthew Dellavedova received the coaches’ award, Tyler Robertson was players’ player and Makuach Maluach took the members’ award. The ceremony also recognised the Sydney Flames’ contribution during the women’s league season.

Unique Thompson was named Flames MVP, while Lauren Nicholson collected coaches’ and players’ player honours. Agnes Emma-Nnopu received defensive and members’ awards, and Renae Garlepp was club person of the year. The Kings subsequently prepared for their league fixture against South East Melbourne.
