De Rosario and Amatkarijo doubles lead Series wins

Guyana and Sint Maarten won their Concacaf Friendly Series matches at Estadio Cibao in Santiago de los Caballeros. Osaze De Rosario’s two first-half goals gave Guyana a 2-0 victory over Dominica and extended their unbeaten run in the competition.

Sint Maarten defeated Belize 3-2 after a late turnaround. T-Shawn Illidge had opened the scoring, but Eldon Reneau’s penalty equalised and Jordy Polanco gave Belize the lead after the interval, leaving Sint Maarten needing a second-half response.

Chovanie Amatkarijo supplied that comeback with goals in the 77th minute and stoppage time. His brace reversed the deficit and completed a successful Friday for both winning teams in Group B, with all four nations playing at the same Dominican venue.
