Emanuele Di Feliciantonio received the Robert Danis Photo of the Year award during the Paris Grand Slam. The IJF photographer won for an image showing Germany’s Martin Setz throwing Mongolia’s Nyamrenchin Badamragchaa for ippon at the Baku Grand Slam in 2025.

The winning frame came from a round-of-thirty-two contest in the men’s under-66kg category on 14 February that year. Setz attended the Paris presentation, where the magazine L’Esprit du Judo recognised the photograph and the competitor behind its decisive sporting moment.

The competition honours Swiss photographer Robert Danis and accepts one landscape colour image taken during the previous year. Entries can cover competition, club activity or technical details. Di Feliciantonio normally works across the World Judo Tour alongside fellow photographers Gabriela Sabau and Tamara Kulumbegashvili.
