Bayern Munich defeated Hoffenheim 5-1 at the Allianz Arena to restore a six-point Bundesliga lead. Luis Diaz scored his first hat-trick for the club, while Harry Kane converted two penalties in a match shaped by Kevin Akpoguma’s early dismissal.

Kane opened the scoring from the spot after Akpoguma fouled Diaz and received a red card. Andrej Kramaric equalised, but another Kane penalty and Diaz’s first goal gave Bayern a 3-1 advantage by the time the teams reached the interval.

Diaz added two more goals in the second half to complete his treble. Bayern made several substitutions while maintaining control, and the result left the visitors unable to recover from their numerical disadvantage despite their first-half response.
