Domen Prevc returns to victory in Planica opener
A total of 471.4 points put the Slovenian ahead of Nikaido and Tschofenig.

Domen Prevc won the opening men’s ski flying World Cup at the Planica season finale. His jumps of 232.5 and 230.5 metres produced 471.4 points, ending a three-competition absence from the podium with a clear success in front of Slovenian supporters.
Japan’s Ren Nikaido finished second with 451.3 points, 20.1 behind the winner. Austria’s Daniel Tschofenig rose from seventh at halfway to third on 443.5, while previous discipline leader Stephan Embacher finished eleventh after falling on a 240-metre final jump.
Prevc’s result moved him sixty-one points ahead in the ski flying standings with one individual competition remaining. He also reached fourteen World Cup wins for the season, one short of brother Peter’s men’s record established in 2015/16.
