Doolittle’s second-half scoring drives Perth comeback in Wollongong

Kristian Doolittle scored 21 of his 26 points after half-time as Perth defeated Illawarra 106–99 in Wollongong. The Wildcats recovered from a 13-point first-half deficit at WIN Entertainment Centre to move within percentage of fourth-placed Melbourne United.
Perth reduced Illawarra’s lead to six at the interval and then scored 32 in the third quarter, including 15 from Doolittle. The Hawks drew level early in the final period, but the visitors regained control and completed the seven-point road victory.
Dylan Windler added 22, Elijah Pepper 19 and Ben Henshall 17 for Perth. QJ Peterson led Illawarra with 22, while JaVale McGee recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds. Perth improved to 18–11, leaving the defending champions 10–18.
