Dosso breaks seven-second barrier in Torun
Her 6.99 national record led an Italian evening that also included Iapichino’s victory.

Zaynab Dosso won the Torun 60m in 6.99, lowering her Italian record by two hundredths and becoming the fifth-fastest European woman in the event. The performance equalled Julien Alfred’s season-leading time and marked Dosso’s third World Indoor Tour Gold victory of the winter.
The final began only after three invalid starts, with Dosso maintaining her focus for the decisive race. Patrizia van der Weken finished second with a Luxembourg record of 7.01 and Amy Hunt third in a personal best of 7.04.
The Copernicus Cup took place on the track due to host the following month’s World Indoor Championships. Larissa Iapichino also won the long jump, adding a second major Italian success to the meeting reported by FIDAL.
