Doualla and Shablii win Italian under-18 sprint titles
The opening championship day also produced a national youth shot-put best.

Kelly Doualla won the women’s 60m at the Italian Under-18 Indoor Championships in a seasonal best of 7.27. Artem Shablii took the men’s sprint title in a personal best of 6.82, one hundredth ahead of Matteo Berardo.
The opening day in Ancona also produced an Italian under-18 indoor shot-put best through Antony Del Pioluogo’s 20.10. The distance improved Carmelo Musci’s 2018 mark of 19.82, adding a record to the youth championship programme.
Cristian Cecchetto and Anita Marchi won the race-walking titles with personal bests of 21:14.22 over 5000m and 13:38.95 over 3000m. FIDAL connected the athletes’ performances to preparations for the European Under-18 Championships scheduled in Rieti later in the year.
