Duke and Dech cleared for Perth returns
The Wildcats regained two guards before their home match against Brisbane.
Source publication date:
Perth confirmed that David Duke Jr and Sunday Dech were cleared to return against Brisbane at RAC Arena. Duke had been absent since Round 14 with an elbow injury, while Dech missed the preceding Cairns match through illness.
Duke’s return restored a guard averaging 12.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds during the season. The club announced the pair’s availability ahead of the Friday fixture as it sought to protect its position in the top four of the NBL standings.
At the time of the announcement, Jaron Rillie’s hamstring injury was the remaining listed absence. The additional depth gave coach John Rillie more options for a late regular-season contest before the Wildcats’ closing games and postseason preparation.
