EHF invites quarter-finalists to bid for women’s Finals hosting
The 2026 European League finale could take place in a participating club’s environment.
Source publication date:
The EHF opened bidding for the 2026 women’s European League Finals, inviting the eight quarter-finalists to submit hosting proposals. The two-day event is scheduled for 16 and 17 May, following three editions staged in Graz, Austria.
The federation and its marketing advisory board evaluated sporting, organisational, commercial and supporter considerations before offering the event to a participating club. Their stated aim was to strengthen local engagement, atmosphere and visibility for both the organiser and the competition.
The announcement established a bidding process rather than a confirmed host. It gave the remaining clubs an opportunity to connect the season-ending tournament with their own community, while leaving the venue decision to a subsequent assessment of the proposals received.
