El Nino sweeps opening Europe Cup quarterfinal
The Prague club won all three matches in Belgium before a swift return-leg turnaround.

El Nino Praha took a 3–0 away lead against Sokah Hoboken in the first leg of their men’s Europe Cup quarterfinal. The Czech club completed a sweep in Belgium, giving itself a substantial advantage before the return encounter scheduled for the following day.
Tomas Konecny defeated Quentin Robinot in straight games to begin the tie. David Reitspies then needed five games against Olav Kosolosky, ultimately winning the shortened decider 6–2 to double El Nino’s lead.
Yevhen Pryshchepa finished the contest with a straight-games victory over Cedric Flebus. Hoboken was left needing a significant reversal in the second match, while the visitors had positioned themselves close to a place in the competition’s semifinals.
