Diego Elias moved from tenth to eighth in the Road to Tour Finals standings after finishing runner-up at the Optasia Championships. The Peruvian earned 1,170 points from the Gold-level tournament, returning to a qualifying position after a knee injury kept him out for four months.

Elias climbed above Jonah Bryant and Marwan ElShorbagy as he pursued a fifth consecutive season-ending appearance. Joel Makin rose to sixth after reaching the Optasia semifinals, while Karim Gawad overtook Victor Crouin to move into third place in the men’s standings.

Hania El Hammamy returned to the top of the women’s race following her successful title defence. She led Amina Orfi by more than one thousand points. Satomi Watanabe and Amanda Sobhy each climbed one position, to seventh and tenth respectively, in the updated women’s table.
