Ellie Ford double helps Dartford Academy beat QPR College
The girls’ side recovered its rhythm to secure a 4–1 victory.
Source publication date:
Dartford Girls' Academy defeated QPR College 4–1 after overcoming a slow start and adapting to players being used in unfamiliar positions. Izzy Edgar opened the scoring with a long-range finish before Hannah McLaughlin converted Ella Newman's cross for the second.
QPR pulled a goal back before the interval, but Dartford improved their control after the restart. A tactical adjustment and the introduction of Chloe Hall Price helped the team move the ball forward with greater purpose.
Bella Taffs twice supplied Ellie Ford, whose two finishes completed the scoring. Dartford allowed no second-half shots according to the club's report. Manager George Kingdon praised the squad's ability to recognise difficulties and find solutions during a match.
