Stephan Embacher won the men’s normal hill title at the Nordic Junior World Championships in Lillehammer with 296.5 points. The Austrian became the first man to earn three junior world ski jumping titles, matching Sara Takanashi’s achievement across the women’s competition.

Embacher led after a 98-metre opening jump from a lower gate, then landed the day’s longest effort at 98.5 metres to retain first place. Poland’s Kacper Tomasiak took silver on 287.3, while American Jason Colby earned bronze with 276 points.

Tomasiak and Colby collected their first individual junior world medals. The result brought Embacher’s overall junior championship total to eight medals, including seven golds, shortly after he had won Olympic Super Team gold during the previous month’s Winter Games.
