Club-backed nominations are due in early April before any required ballots.
Source publication date:
England Athletics opened nominations for eleven regional councillor positions. The published breakdown includes three seats in Yorkshire and Humberside, two each in the East Midlands and South East, and one each in the North West, North East, West Midlands and South West.
Regional councils act as local representative bodies for athletics and running, giving elected volunteers a role in shaping provision for clubs and members. The federation sought candidates from different backgrounds with strong communication skills and knowledge of their communities.
Nomination forms and supporting confirmation from a club must arrive by noon on 3 April. Any necessary ballots will follow. The federation supplied role descriptions, terms of reference and a code of conduct, with late submissions ruled invalid.
