England Athletics reopened its Club Improvement Fund on 19 March, with applications running until the end of April. Grants of up to £500 support affiliated clubs tackling barriers to participation, improving volunteer capacity and strengthening the experience of athletes and runners.

The previous year’s programme distributed £60,000 to 127 clubs. Funding supported coach education, equipment, digital services, volunteer training and recruitment, with ten clubs receiving help for both coaching courses and specific development projects.

Applicants must meet all seven Club Standards, with priority for clubs that have not received funding in the past year. Clubs funded between September and December 2025 are excluded from this round, and the assessment panel is scheduled to meet in May.
