England’s fifteen-athlete throws squad achieved thirteen podium finishes at the Växjö International on 7 February. Competing indoors at the Tipshallen protected the events from winter weather and gave young athletes an early opportunity to test technique in unfamiliar international conditions.

Emilia Adese won the under-eighteen women’s shot with 16.87 metres, a national record, leading an English podium sweep. Ned Scott won the men’s javelin with 65.98 metres and Lucy Bull took the women’s event with 49.81 metres, both reported as national records and European standards.

Moyo Stumpenhusen’s 57.47-metre discus also established a national best. Overall, the team registered six personal bests, four national records, five European qualifying standards and one world standard, with coaches praising the athletes’ adaptability and the value of travelling and competing together.
