Entries opened for the 2026 Tom Perrotta Prize for Tennis Journalism, the fifth edition of the award honouring the late American writer. The competition is open to journalists aged thirty-five and under, with submissions due before midnight Eastern Time on 20 April.
Applicants must provide a brief CV, two recent published pieces and an explanation of how the award would support their careers. Writing in any language is eligible, provided submitted examples are translated into English for assessment.
The winner will receive two thousand dollars and an additional five hundred dollars toward travel. Presentation is planned in New York before the US Open, with the recipient expected to attend in person and entries judged anonymously.
