Two second-half goals secured progression in Győr.
Source publication date:
ETO FC beat Videoton 2–0 to secure the final place in the MOL Hungarian Cup quarterfinals. The visitors held the match level for more than an hour before ETO scored twice during the second half.
Substitute Nadir Benbouali opened the scoring in the 64th minute after goalkeeper Botond Kemenes had frustrated the hosts earlier. ETO protected that advantage and added a second in stoppage time when Benbouali's header from a corner deflected off Köllő into the net.
The completed quarterfinal field contained five top-flight clubs and three second-tier teams. ETO's next opponent was confirmed as Kecskemét, joining Kazincbarcika–Ferencváros, Honvéd–Diósgyőr and Zalaegerszeg–Soroksár in the next round of the competition.
