A two-day workshop in Havířov prepared experienced umpires and national referees for the international level. Organised through the ETTU Referee Mentoring Program alongside the WTT Youth Contender, it was led by international referees Matej Hamran of Slovakia and Petr Bohumský of Czechia.

Participants came from Austria, Kosovo, Ukraine, Tunisia, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Czechia. The programme covered tournament scheduling, orders of play, umpire allocation and the expectations of International Referee School. Case studies also examined decisions involving misconduct and disqualification during international competition.

Officials practised draw procedures for both ITTF and WTT formats and completed an overnight umpire scheduling exercise. On the second day they worked in the Call Area, observed racket control and result management, and followed referees’ duties during live matches at the connected tournament.
