The men’s European Cup quarter-final and semi-final routes were drawn at the European Handball House in Vienna. The ceremony came two days after the last sixteen concluded, leaving eight clubs from eight countries in the competition.
Tatabánya will start at home against Nilüfer, who reached their first European quarter-final by edging Brno 58–57 on aggregate. The pairing brings together a Hungarian side with recent European League experience and a Turkish team entering new competitive territory.
Celje, the only remaining club with a previous European trophy, were paired with Romanian debutants Buzau. Celje won the Champions League in 2004 and are pursuing their first continental semi-final since 2012. The draw established the next hurdles without determining any match outcomes.
