Weymouth beat Poole Town 2–0 at the Bob Lucas Stadium after taking an early lead and scoring again near the end. Brandon Goodship finished in the sixth minute, recording his fifth goal in three matches for the home side.
Poole received a penalty ten minutes later when Shaquille Gwengwe was brought down, but former Dolphins goalkeeper Max Evans saved the striker's attempt. Evans also denied Dan Carr as the visitors searched for a route back into the match.
Poole had greater possession during portions of the second half without producing an equaliser. Barney Stone eventually doubled Weymouth's lead with a shot into the top corner five minutes before the end, securing the hosts' clean-sheet victory.
