Faroese cup draws scheduled after league fixture
Seven women’s teams and sixteen men’s teams enter.

The Faroese federation scheduled the opening cup draws after the Víkingur–HB league fixture at Sarpugerði. The match was due to begin at 7pm on 1 April, with the draws following once referee Dagfinn Forná brought the game to an end.
Seven teams were entered in the women’s Løgmanssteypið competition, whose draw would establish the opening round. Sixteen men’s teams would take part, and their draw would determine both first-round meetings and the subsequent quarterfinal arrangements in the national knockout competition.
The programme was to be shown live on Televarpið’s Rás 1, giving supporters access to the draw alongside the league evening. The federation’s announcement confirmed the numbers of participants and the different stages to be mapped out for the two competitions.
