AB against B68 begins the 2026 top-flight programme.
Source publication date:
The Faroese men’s top-flight season began its opening weekend after weather forced a change to the first fixture. AB’s home match against B68 at Inni í Vika was moved from Friday to Saturday, with kickoff set for 4.45pm on 7 March.
The league entered 2026 under the MeistaraDeildin name. Its other opening fixtures paired 07 Vestur with KÍ, B36 with EB/Streymur, NSÍ with Víkingur and Skála with HB, bringing all ten top-flight clubs into the first round of the new campaign.
The second division also opened that weekend, with four matches on Saturday and the fifth scheduled for Sunday. The revised AB kickoff preceded the women’s national team’s World Cup qualifier in Greece, which the federation noted would be shown on the national broadcaster’s second channel.
