Faroese students study national-team physical preparation
A school football class visited the federation.
Source publication date:
The football class from Skúlin á Fløtum visited the Faroese federation to learn about physical preparation in the sport. Physical trainer Eli Nolsøe Leifsson led the session, explaining how structured conditioning work supports the demands placed on modern football players.
The presentation covered strength training, speed, injury prevention and the creation of suitable training plans. Students also learned how physical development is organised around the Faroese national teams and how training can be adjusted for younger and adult players.
The visit formed part of the federation’s regular contact with school groups, which also includes tours of Tórsvøllur and an introduction to administrative work. The session gave the visiting football students practical ideas they could take into their own training and coaching environments.
