Faroese women’s Super Cup supports bowel-disease charity
KÍ and HB meet before the league season begins.
Source publication date:
KÍ and HB were scheduled to contest the women’s Lions Super Cup at Tórsvøllur, with proceeds supporting the Colitis-Crohn association. League champions KÍ would meet cup winners HB on 14 March in the final major fixture before the domestic league programme began.
The women’s league opener was set for NSÍ against Skála at Løkin in Runavík on 20 March. The federation’s season magazine panel regarded KÍ and HB as the leading title contenders, splitting its ten predictions equally between the two Super Cup opponents.
The charitable beneficiary supports people affected by bowel disease and their families. The federation explained that the association’s work is voluntary, making support from the Super Cup useful to its activities. The announcement linked the football curtain-raiser with that fundraising purpose.
