Gamba Osaka reached the AFC Champions League Two East Zone semi-finals after beating Ratchaburi 2-1 in extra time. Welton Felipe’s winner settled the second leg in Thailand and gave the Japanese club a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Genta Miura opened the scoring with a powerful long-range strike after sustained Gamba pressure. Ratchaburi equalised early in the second half when a collision involving goalkeeper Masaaki Higashiguchi left Gleyson with the chance to finish from close range.

The home team could have moved ahead from a penalty, but Higashiguchi saved Denilson Junior’s attempt. Neither side found a winner during normal time before Felipe collected a loose ball and scored in the ninth minute of the additional period to take Gamba through.
