Ferencváros beat MTK to stay close to league leaders

Three different scorers secured a 3–1 away victory.

Ferencváros won 3–1 away to MTK Budapest to restore a three-point gap behind Fizz Liga leaders ETO FC. The defending champions scored through Franko Kovacevic, Elton Acolatse and Ádám Madarász before a late MTK reply.

Kovacevic opened the scoring in the 34th minute after a defensive misunderstanding. Acolatse doubled the advantage after the break with a curling finish, registering his first league goal for Ferencváros since joining during the winter.

Nineteen-year-old Madarász converted a rebound in the 74th minute to settle the contest. Gábor Jurek scored for MTK in the 87th, but the hosts could not recover. Ferencváros remained second and extended their unbeaten away league sequence against MTK to twelve matches.
