Istanbul draw confirms Under-17 World Cup groups
Türkiye were drawn with New Zealand, Slovenia and Puerto Rico for the June–July tournament.

The draw for the FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup placed sixteen teams into four groups. Host Türkiye joined New Zealand, Slovenia and Puerto Rico in Group C for the tournament scheduled in Istanbul from 27 June to 5 July.
Italy, the United States, France and Japan formed Group A. Cameroon, Canada, Lithuania and China went into Group B, while Venezuela, Australia, Serbia and Côte d’Ivoire completed Group D.
All sixteen teams were set to advance to the knockout phase, with group positions determining round-of-sixteen pairings. Harun Erdenay and Semih Erden conducted the draw. The United States entered as seven-time undefeated champions, a historical record that did not determine the 2026 outcome.
