FIDAL’s council approved €1.966 million in support for clubs and federation championship organisers at its Rome meeting. The allocation rose from €1.552 million in 2025, an increase of 26.7 per cent.

The council also approved a 2026 budget of €32.511 million, with self-generated financing accounting for 51 per cent. Federation president Stefano Mei linked the support package to recruitment, athlete development and the work of local clubs.

Technical director Antonio La Torre announced Alessandro Donati as a fourth deputy technical director, responsible for methodology and national technical development. The meeting combined funding decisions with staffing confirmation, while Nadia Battocletti received the Bruno Zauli award.
