FISU and FIS formalise university snow-sport cooperation
The agreement signed on 17 August sets a framework for competition standards.

FISU and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation signed a collaboration agreement on 17 August, announced ten days later. The framework formalised their existing partnership in university snow sports.
The organisations committed to supporting Universiade competitions that follow FIS rules and standards. Their cooperation also addressed athlete development, education, integrity, sustainability and innovation within the international snow-sport pathway.
The announcement looked ahead to the Changchun Winter Universiade on 15–25 January 2027. FISU secretary general Matthias Remund and interim FIS secretary general Urs Lehmann described the agreement as support for professionally delivered competitions and student-athlete opportunities.
