FIDE confirmed that it had received the Court of Arbitration for Sport decision concerning an appeal linked to Ethics and Disciplinary Commission Case 11/2023. The federation’s statement said the court had considered the parties’ positions and arguments before reaching its ruling.
According to FIDE, the court dismissed the appeal filed by UCF against federation president Arkady Dvorkovich. The announcement identified that outcome while reserving further consideration of other aspects of the decision.
FIDE said it would study those details and consult Swiss legal counsel and its Constitutional Commission to determine implementation steps under the FIDE Charter. It also reaffirmed its commitment to respecting arbitration decisions and complying with its charter and regulations.
