FIDE seeks licensed arbiters for Samarkand Olympiads
Applications cover the main Olympiad and the competition for people with disabilities.
Source publication date:
FIDE’s Arbiters’ Commission opened a call for officials to serve at two Olympiads in Samarkand. International Arbiters and FIDE Arbiters with valid federation licences may apply for the forty-sixth Chess Olympiad and the third Olympiad for People with Disabilities.
The main competition is scheduled for 15–28 September in Uzbekistan. The disability event runs from 10–18 September. The commission announced that applications would remain open until 29 March at 23:59 Central European Time.
The process uses Chamilo, the commission’s training portal. FIDE said the call would also help bring colleagues who had not yet attended sessions into the newer training system, and directed first-time applicants or returning users without access to the password-reset facility.
