Source publication date:
The International Luge Federation published national quota allocations for Milano Cortina 2026, outlining a field of 106 athletes from nineteen nations. National Olympic Committees had until January 19 to accept or return their allocated places.
The announcement provided for twenty-five athletes in each singles competition, eleven women’s doubles teams and seventeen men’s doubles teams. Returned places would be offered to countries with the next eligible athletes or pairs under the qualification system.
Five Olympic luge disciplines were scheduled across February 7–12. Men’s singles would race first, followed by women’s singles, then both doubles competitions on February 11 and the team relay on February 12. The January announcement established allocations before those February competitions.
